Time for a bit of pimp. This thing’s at completely the opposite end of the scale to the Saxo I featured recently, a full, leather interior, quiet exhaust, and clean looks…
Tom’s had a plethora of cars recently, a stripped out B18 Civic, a mk1 Focus RS, and now this, a CL7 Accord Sport. The Sport is offered with the K20A6, with 155bhp, which, in a car that’s not far off 1400kg, means it’s not particularly quick, yet it does feel surprisingly spritely, what it does do, however, is look awesome.
The J Spec kit adds a level of aggression to it that’s not found on the average repmobile, and it really does set it off, especially when you factor in the black Honda badge on the front, and the black grill, which really does make it look quite mean, team that with the PI lowering springs that make it sit that bit lower over the 17″ Asuka Racing wheels, and you’ve got a great combination.
Engine wise, it’s pretty much standard, bar a custom stainless exhaust, that is about as quiet as standard, ideally suited, since it’s not a stripped out road racer.
Speaking of which, the interior has plush leather that’s extremely comfortable, and dual zone climate control, to ensure both driver and passenger are happy.
Overall, this is a car not for driving fast in, instead, it’s a car for driving slow, making sure you’re noticed, while being kept nice and comfortable, on your way from A to B, to find that when you do get to B, you’re not deaf, and don’t feel as though your body has been subjected to weeks of intensive labour, instead, you arrive cool, calm and collected, and ready for the return journey whenever it may come.
However, rather than bast in the attention that this car so deservedly gets, Tom’s already looking to move on, and satisfy his cravings, wanting something raw, fun, and loud once again…
