16th December saw Team440/SlamMedias Christmas meet. Given the time of year, and the recent spate of bad weather, I personally wasn’t expecting a particularly big turnout, I was, however, to be surprised.
When I turned up there was only a few cars, however within a few minutes traffic started rolling into the car park, things started looking promising…
Quite surprisingly the usual high quality of cars were turning up too, with everything from the usual mass of Hondas through GT-Rs through to something of quite an oddity… A Corsa C with an Impreza engine and running gear. A sleeper if ever there was one. Unfortunately, no pictures of that, since I hadn’t actually realised how special it was.
As mentioned, there’s always a mass of Hondas, Civics and Integras being the most common, the odd Accord, and occasionally an NSX making an appearance too.
Plenty of other Jap metal were representing their respective marques, Mazdas, Nissans, Subarus, a nice mix, something for everyone.
The good thing about these meets are that – whilst predominantly – they’re not exclusively Jap, there’s always a selection of other metal turn up too, BMWs, Renaults, Fords, all making a point of standing out.
This slammed E46 touring was definitely one of my favourite cars of the day.
A big thanks to the guys who go organise these meets, and make sure that everyone knows what’s happening, and, in this case to Mr & Mrs Morf for their kind Christmas present donations, proof that there’s definitely a sense of community right there.
